Advanced Training + Upcoming Education
I'm currently enrolled in a series of advanced continuing education courses taking place throughout July, August and September.
I believe great bodywork is never finished - it evolves with experience, study and curiosity.
Each course is chosen with intention, supporting the continued evolution of my practice and allowing me to bring a deeper level of listening, understanding and presence in each session.
Tok Sen - Advanced Training
Tok Sen is a traditional Northern Thai bodywork technique that uses rhythmic wooden tapping along energy lines to release deep tension and support the nervous system.
I currently offer this work informed by exposure to the technique in Thailand, demonstration-based learning in Thai massage trainings and hands-on experience with clients.
I am continuing formal education to refine technique, deepen understanding and further develop my application of this work.
TMJ Relief
This course focuses on therapeutic techniques for the neck, shoulders, jaw (TMJ) and surrounding cranial and facial muscles, including intraoral and ocular structures.
It is designed to support the treatment of muscular tension, overuse and dysfunction in these areas, helping to improve mobility, reduce discomfort and enhance overall well-being.
Thai Element Theory + Doshas
Taught by Sebastian Bruno
This explores Thai Element Theory and doshic principles as foundational frameworks within Traditional Thai Medicine. It focuses on how these systems can be used to assess constitution, identify patterns of imbalance and guide therapeutic intent.
Through a practical and experiential approach, the class supports more precise assessment and more intentional application of techniques in Thai Massage practice.
Wai Khru
Taught by Pierce Salguero
Wai Khru is a traditional ceremony in Thai massage practice that expresses respect and gratitude toward teachers, lineage and the healing tradition itself. It is performed as a pre-practice ritual to set intention, cultivate focus and acknowledge the roots of the work being offered.
This lecture explores the wai khru ceremony in traditional Thai massage, including its historical context, contemporary interpretations and practical relevance for practitioners.
It addresses common misunderstandings and offers guidance on how the ritual can be meaningfully understood within lineage-based Thai bodywork traditions.
Introduction to Barefoot Bodywork
This immersive course explores the foundations of DeepFeet barefoot bodywork, a movement-based approach that integrates compression, mobility and assisted stretching using bars, floor work and structured sequences.
The training offers hands-on experience across multiple applications of the method, including Ashi-Thai techniques, seated barefoot work and supported movement systems designed to expand versaitility, balance and control in barefoot bodywork practice.
Tok Sen Facial Massage
This course introduces a structured facial massage sequence inspired by traditional Northern Thai Tok Sen techniques. Using wooden tools to create gentle rhythmic vibration, the method supports circulation, lymphatic flow, facial tension release and sinus relief. It will be available as a stand-alone treatment or as an add-on to sessions.
Seated Thai Massage: Utilizing Pressure Points + Dynamic Stretching
Taught by Pinyapatch Chanyathunyaroj
This hands-on workshop focuses on the seated position in traditional Thai massage for addressing the back, neck and shoulders. It emphasizes precise application of Thai pressure points along the Sen energy lines using thumb and palm techniques, combined with dynamic assisted stretching to support release of deep muscular tension and improve upper-body mobility.
Hands-Free Thai Massage
Taught by David Roma
This course focuses on hands-free Thai massage techniques that utilize forearms, elbows, knees and feet to deliver broad, sustained therapeutic pressure.
Exploring how to create smooth transitions between techniques while maintaining grounding, flow and connection throughout the session. The training highlights ways to adapt to traditional Thai massage principles into a more fluid, full-body approach that maintains depth and therapeutic effectiveness. Integrating these techniques into Thai sequences with an emphasis on movement-based application, stability and continuity of touch creating a cohesive approach that supports both structural work and flowing, rhythmic bodywork within a single treatment.
