Made with love and tradition.

Luk Pra Kob (Thai Herbal Compress) is available as an add-on to your massage treatments!

This page will show the current Thai Herbal Compress that is available for your session, they will be labeled by batch number. Please keep in mind, I alone, am making each of these, it takes a few hours to prepare these lovely medicinal compresses and a limited number is made per batch so there is a slight chance that I may run out of a certain batch before your session. If that is the case, I will do my best to keep you updated as soon as possible on any changes to the batch. I also have compresses that I got directly from Thailand to use as a backup in case I am unable to make a batch in short notice.

These compresses have been used in conjunction with massage in Thailand for generations, influenced by Ayurveda and Chinese medicine to bring balance to the mind, body and spirit. They are filled with medicinal herbs and methodically applied to the body after warming them by steam. Not only do the convergence of the steaming herbs and roots smell amazing, their medicinal qualities are released and the receiver will feel lasting effects from it. The heat and steam deeply permeate the skin, opening the pores and infusing the bloodstream with all of the wonderful, medicinal herbal properties. It is known to be deeply relaxing; soothing the muscles, easing aches and pains, helping to free blockages along the energy channels, boosting circulation as well as improving the lymphatic system.

This can be applied directly to the skin or over clothing which is equally as beneficial as direct contact with the compress to skin. ***please be sure to wear black, brown or dark clothing when receiving this treatment during a Thai Massage as some of the ingredients used will cause stains.

I love the compresses that I get from Thailand! They are very similar to my homemade ones but they actually have additional ingredients that are more difficult to find in the states- such as plai (Thai ginger) and kaffir lime which have many medicinal and healing properties. If the compresses from Thailand are all that is available, that will reflect online in the add-on section as these will not be named by batch number.

Price may vary by batch depending on the ingredients used and the fluctuation of the economy.

There will be no additional time for this add-on as it will be used in conjunction with your chosen massage session. Keep in mind, you will have at least 4-6 more uses after first using it in your massage. If you come regularly, you can choose to store it safely in the freezer at the studio for use during future sessions at no additional cost until it reaches its full life expectancy where a new herbal compress would need to be purchased if you wish to continue your massage sessions with herbal compress.

You can also bring this home to store in your freezer for multiple uses, frozen or steamed.

I am absolutely thrilled to bring this beautiful, ancient art to our sessions!
